Bounce

 Bounce in web analytics terminology refers to a single page visit. A visit is a bounce when a user after viewing one page of the website:
1.Closes the browser;
2.Clicks browser back button;
3.Types new URL in the browser;
4.Clicks on an external link or an ad.
An example of such visit would be a person visiting from a search engine and then clicking browser's back button to return to the search engine result page.
Bounces are usually caused by a disparity in what the visitor is looking for in relation to the website(s) content. In order to keep the bounce rate as low as possible, webmasters need to create rich and engaging content as well as streamline their marketing efforts.
